The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team will finish out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 2 when the Owls will head to Garden City, N.Y. to face the No. 6 nationally-ranked Panthers of Adelphi University.

  • The Panthers hold a 12-4 all-time series with the Owls. The last time these two teams squared off was on Nov. 6, 2018 when Adelphi took a 7-0 victory at Jess Dow Field.

  • SCSU fell to No. 4 nationally-ranked Saint Anselm, 5-0 on Oct. 26.
  • Brianna Craft's 12 saves against STAC was the eighth double-digit save game this season and the 46th of her career.
  • Karley Welles tallied her fifth goal of the season breaking her single-season high. Her previous single-season high in goals was four during the 2017 season.
  • Jessica Maier collected her team-leading third assist of the season off Welles' goal.
  • Two out of three of Maier's assists this season have been on Welles' goals against Pace on Oct. 15 and against STAC on Oct. 30.

Notes
  • Brianna Craft's 12 saves against Pace breaks the NCAA Division II field hockey career saves record previously set by Heather Long of Mansfield University between 2000-03 when she had 860. Craft sits at 179 saves this season and 905 career saves.
  • Karley Welles leads the team in goals this season with five and shots with 26.
  • Both Julia Schaff and Jana Migliaro have two defensive saves apiece this season, while Megan Habakangas has collected one.

  • Brianna Craft is first in the conference in saves with 179 on the season, 20 more saves than New Haven's Natalie Shaker, who has 152.
  • Craft is also third in the NE10 in save percentage with .799.
