After a six-game road stint to start the season, Southern Connecticut field hockey will host its first home game as they welcome American International College to Jess Dow Field for a Northeast 10 Conference matchup on Friday, Sept. 30. The two sides met just one week ago as the Owls traveled to Springfield, Mass. and took the 2-1 non-conference overtime winner thanks to
Abbey Kellerman's heroics.Â

National Recognition
Trinidad Rodriguez Ricchiuti was named the Northeast 10 Player of the Week for week four after having a tremendous week for the Owls. She played in every minute in both of Southern's wins last week and her performances included two goals and two assists for a total of six points to help the Owls to a 2-0 week. She notched the game-tying assist in a 2-1 overtime win over AIC, and followed up that performance with two goals and an assist in a 5-1 conference win over Franklin Pierce.Â

The Owls fell to Adelphi University, 9-0, at Motamed Field on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Goalkeeper
Kaitlyn Parent tied a career-high in saves with 13.Â
Looking Ahead
Southern will welcome Mercy College to campus on Wednesday, Oct. 6 for a NE10 matchup with the Mavericks at Jess Dow Field.
