Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse will travel to Springfield, Mass. for a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at American International College at 4 p.m. The Owls enter the game with an overall record of 5-3 including a 1-3 mark in conference play while AIC is 2-3 overall and 0-2 in conference action.

Owls Notes
  • Karlie Rowe and Bayleigh Takacs have both tallied a team-high 27 points for the year. Rowe's 27 comes from 16 goals and 11 assists while Takacs has dished out a team-leading 14 assists to go along with 13 goals.
  • Rowe has been on a tear lately, totaling 11 goals and three assists in her last three games, including back-to-back four goal performances against SCAD and Pace.
  • For her career, Rowe has scored 109 goals, which ranks fourth all-time in program history. She's currently chasing Allison Kownacki's '08 career total of 113 for third place.
  • In addition, Rowe's 32 career assists rank sixth all-time while her 141 points are good for fourth in program history.
  • Rowe has also scored nine goals and totaled four assists for 13 points in four NE10 games.
  • Takacs has a pair of six-point games in her last three outings. She finished with three goals and three assists in a win against Saint Michael's and also had two goals and four assists against Pace.
  • Takacs is currently closing in on SCSU all-time assists record. She enters Wednesday's game with 53 assists all-time and needs three more to tie Carolynn Keal's '18 record of 56.           
  • The Owls' senior also has 131 points for her career, which is good for fifth all-time. Her 78 career goals are tied for ninth in program history.
  • Takacs also leads the team in points (19) in NE10 games on the strength of seven goals and a team-best nine assists.
  • Kirsten McIntire has scored a team-best 19 goals this season, with one assist, to give the Owls three 20-point scorers to date.
  • In eight games, McIntire has five games of three goals-or-more and is coming off of back-to-back three goal games against SCAD and Pace.
  • Morgan Reilly has scored 10 goals and added eight assists, while Alexandra Ruel has 11 goals and two assists in five games played this season.
  • Brianna Shaw has scored eight times and also dished out four assists while also leading the team with 34 draw controls and is tied with Maggie Kalinich for the team lead with 14 caused turnovers.
  • Owls freshman goalkeeper Caelan Connors leads the NE10 with 67 saves and carries a 9.15 goals-against average.
  • Savannah Feinberg has scored 10 goals and assisted on one more while also leading the Owls with four free-position goals.

Following their tilt at AIC, the Owls will return to New Haven for a three-game homestand at Jess Dow Field. The Owls host Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Apr. 1, Adelphi on Tuesday, Apr. 4 and Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, Apr. 8.
