Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse will host Assumption in a pivotal Northeast 10 Conference matchup at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 29 at Jess Dow Field, with the winner securing the eighth and final spot in the upcoming NE10 Conference Championship tournament. In addition, SCSU Women's Lacrosse will honor Jettke Gray, Molly Kelly, Alexandra Ruel and Liney White for Senior Day.

Owls Notes
  • Southern enters the weekend with a record of 9-7 overall, good for the most wins in program history, while also hosting a 4-7 mark in NE10 play.
  • Should Southern defeat Assumption, it will be the Owls first appearance in the NE10 Championship tournament in program history.
  • Southern ranks ninth in the country with 12.33 caused turnovers per game, 20th in clearing percentage at .852, 22nd in scoring offense at 14.53 goals per game and 13th in shots on goal per game at 26.27.
  • Individually, Bayleigh Takacs ranks 28th in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse with 30 assists and 25th with 2.00 assists per game.
  • Brianna Shaw ranks 14th with 2.00 caused turnovers per game.
  • Caelan Connors ranks 32nd with a 10.82 GAA, 33rd in save percentage (.445) and 35th with 121 saves.
  • Takacs enters the game with 104 goals and 71 assists for 175 career pints in 59 games played. She is just the sixth player in program history to reach 100 goals, is the all-time leader in assists and ranks third in career points.
  • This season, Takacs has scored 39 goals and passed out a single-season record 32 assists for 71 points, which ties Samantha Cozzolino '19 for the single-season points record.
  • Karlie Rowe has scored 130 goals and totaled 35 assists for 165 career points in 63 games played. She ranks third all-time in career goals, fifth in career assists and fourth in career points.
  • Takacs and Rowe, who has scored 37 goals and totaled 14 assists for 51 points, are the 10th and 11th players in program history to record 50 points in a season.
  • Brianna Shaw enters the game with 31 caused turnovers, five shy of tying her own single-season record of 36 caused turnovers from last season.
  • Her 72 career caused turnovers rank second all-time.
  • Shaw also leads the team with 87 draw controls, and tied the single-game record of 14.
  • Her 130 career draw controls rank seventh all-time.
  • Kirsten McIntire has scored 30 goals and passed out three assists for 33 points.
  • Takacs, Rowe and McIntire give Southern its first trio of 30-point scorers since 2018.
  • Alexandra Ruel has scored 25 goals and added five assists for 30 points.
  • Ruel leads the team with a .935 shots-on-goal percentage (25-for-29).  
  • Morgan Reilly has totaled 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points. Reilly leads the team with five free-position goals in nine opportunities.
  • Shaw sits at 22 goals and six assists for 28 points whie leading the team in draw controls (87) and caused turnovers (31) while she is second on the Owls' roster with 29 ground balls.
  • Shaw also leads the team with seven free-position goals.
  • Savannah Feinberg has scored 17 goals and added six assists for 23 points.
  • Kelly Jagodzinski has scored seven goals and totaled thre assists as well as 30 draw controls for the year.
  • Hannah Holmes leads the team with 33 ground balls and is second with 24 caused turnovers.
  • Maggie Kallinich has 22 caused turnovers and 25 ground balls for the year.
