Box Score LAURINBURG, N.C. - Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse defeated Saint Andrew's, 23-2, in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls improved to an overall record of 4-2 while the Knights dropped to an overall record of 0-4. 19 players scored goals and nine players recorded assists for Southern Connecticut.

Anna Meserve,
Gabriella Smith and
Hannah Holmes all led the team with two goals each. 19 different Owls each had a goal throughout the game.
Morgan Reilly led the team with four assists, as
Kirsten McIntire and
Abigail Nolan each had two assists against the Knights. For caused turnovers,
Allie Palmer and
Auserehl Mazzuli each led the team with a caused turnover.
The Owls were ready to go in the first half, as
Allie Palmer scored the first goal of the day with an assist by
Alexandra Ruel. Shortly after,
Kirsten McIntire scored her first goal, with an assist from
Morgan Reilly.
Alexandra Ruel scored a goal with an assist from McIntire, then,
Savannah Feinberg added another goal to the board with Reilly's second assist of the game.
Anna Meserve scored her first of the game, unassisted as shortly after McIntire scored once again with another assist from Reilly.
Meserve scored her second of the game, with the fourth assist from
Morgan Reilly.
Allie Welder joined in on the scoring with an unassisted goal. Next,
Amelia Mansfield scored the ninth goal for the Owls.
Gabriella Smith recorded her first goal of the season with an assist from McIntire.
Jordan Fisher scored for Southern Connecticut, unassisted and quickly after,
Maggie Kallinich scored her first goal with an assist by Welder.
Sarah Robbins added a goal with an assist by Meserve.
Ailis Wargin scored her first goal of the season with an assist from
Maddox Burton. Then, Burton scored a goal of her own with a assist from
Abigail Nolan. Reaching close to halftime, the Owls continued to score goals as
Morgan Reilly scored her fifth goal of the season.
Michaela Lyons scored her first goal of the season for Southern Connecticut. Then,
Michaela Lyons scored her first career goal in her debut, with an assist by
Sarah Robbins. The Owls went into halftime with 18 goals scored, which is a season-high amount in a half.
In the second half, the Owls continued to score as freshman
Sammy Sleve scored her first goal of the season with an assist by
Hannah Holmes. Then, Holmes got on the board with an unassisted goal of her own. Smith recorded her second goal of the game for Southern Connecticut.
Hannah Holmes scored her second goal of the half, unassisted as
Auserehl Mazzuli scored her first goal of the season and the last goal of the game for the Owls. Southern Connecticut finished with a victory of 23-2 for their third straight win of the season.
The Owls return to action on Tuesday, March 19 at Jess Dow Field at 4:00 p.m. against The College of Saint Rose in an NE10 matchup in New Haven, Connecticut.
