NEW HAVEN, Conn. – #3 Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse will face #6 Bentley in the NE10 Championship Quarterfinals on Saturday, April 25 at 4:00 pm at Jess Dow Field. This is the first time that the Owls will host an NE10 Championship game in program history. Additionally, it is the third program appearance and second consecutive appearance for Southern in the NE10 Championship, after qualifying in 2025.

Admission for all rounds of the NE10 tournament will be $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children. Current NE10 students with a valid ID, will be admitted for free of charge.
Owls' NE10 Championship Tournament History:
Southern Connecticut has qualified for the NE10 Championship Tournament, three times: 2026, 2025 and 2021.
In 2021, the Owls competed in the NE10 tournament for the first time in program history and entered the tournament as the fifth seed. They played a Divisional First Round game against the fourth seed, New Haven and fell, 14-6 to the Chargers.
(* Due to COVID, All NE10 teams competed in the NE10 Tournament for the only time in conference history.)
In 2025, Southern qualified for the NE10 Championship Quarterfinals for the first time in program history, as the seventh seed and faced second-seeded Adelphi in Garden City, New York. The Owls fell to the Panthers, 22-9.
In 2026, the Owls will enter the NE10 Championship Quarterfinals, as the third seed, which is the highest that Southern has ever been ranked in the NE10 Tournament. Additionally, it will be the first home NE10 Tournament game that the Owls will host, as they will play the sixth seed, Bentley at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 25 at Jess Dow Field.
This Season vs. Bentley:
The Owls defeated the Falcons 18-10, on April 15 at Jess Dow Field. This was the first time that Southern defeated Bentley, in program history.
Anna Meserve scored a team-best of five goals and
Macy Vail recorded four goals, while both led the Owls with five points, as Vail added an assist against the Falcons.
Rebecca Sibley and
Abigail Nolan scored two goals.

Allie Welder won a team-best of six draws and caused four turnovers.

th victory of the season.
Season Overview:
The Owls have had an impressive, historic season so far. Southern started with the best start in program history, with a 9-1 record. Then, the Owls broke their program record of wins in a single season, with their 11
th and 12
th victories. Additionally, in the past week, they defeated Bentley and Saint Anselm for the first time in program history. In the NE10, Southern owns the best overall record, at 12-4. On Monday, the Owls entered the Top 25 in the IWLCA Division II Poll for the first time in program history.
Nationally, the Owls are ranked 15
th in all of Division II in scoring margin with an average of 6.50 goals, ranked 14
th in scoring offense with an average of 15.47 goals per game and ranked 24
th in scoring defense with an average of 8.87 goals per game. Individually,

th in all of Division II in save percentage with 48%.

Caelan Connors is ranked third in saves percentage and is ranked third in goals against average, with 10.42 goals allowed per game.
Macy Vail is ranked 11
th in the NE10 in goals per game, with an average of 2.50 goals per game and is ranked 12
th in points per game with an average of 3.50 points per game.
Maddox Burton is ranked ninth in assists per game, with an average of 1.50 assists per contest.
