MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse junior
Caelan Connors was named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week for Week Four, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, March 17, 2025. This is the first NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honor for Connors in her career.
Connors had a impressive day for the Owls in goal, as she recorded a season-best of 15 saves in a 8-7 overtime loss against nationally ranked, Saint Anselm. Connors posted a .652 save percentage, with 15 saves against 28 shots faced. Connors is ranked second in the NE10 in saves per game with an average of 10 saves per game.
The Owls will return to action on Tuesday, March 18 against #6 Saint Leo University at 6:00 p.m. in Saint Leo, Florida. On Wednesday, March 19, Southern will play Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida at 5:00 p.m. The Owls will travel across town to West Haven, Connecticut on Wednesday, March 26 to face NE10 and Elm-City rival, University of New Haven at 4:00 p.m. Southern Connecticut will return home to Jess Dow Field to start their four-game homestand, on Thursday, March 27 in a non-conference matchup against Caldwell University at 4:00 p.m.
