SCSU Women's Lacrosse Places Six on NE10 Academic All-Conference Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse standouts, Caelan Connors, Anna Meserve, Abigail Nolan, Allie WelderBreya Montague and Macy Vail were all named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the NE10 on Thursday, June 18, 2026. This is the first NE10 Academic All-Conference honors for Connors, Nolan, Welder, Montague and Vail. This is the second straight season that Meserve has earned NE10 Academic All-Conference honors.

Caelan Connors had an impressive season for the Owls as she became the first goalkeeper in program history to be named NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year, was the first player to earn USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention and alongside Macy Vail, the first two players in program history to be named to the All-NE10 First Tram.  Connors was ranked in the top five of the NE10 in goals against average and saves per game. She started and played in all 18 games for Southern Connecticut, totaling a career-best record of 11-6. Connors recorded a total of 134 saves, a career-best of 11.37 goals against average, 21 ground balls and five caused turnovers. She totaled the 500th save of her career in a 17-6 victory over Converse and became the second goalkeeper in program history to record 500+ saves. Off the field, she earned NE10 Academic Excellence honors for the Fall 2025 semester and the Spring 2026 semester. 

Macy Vail had an incredible season for Southern as she became the first player, alongside Caelan Connors, to be named to the All-NE10 First Team and became the first player in program history to be named to the IWLCA East Region Second Team. This season, she was consistently ranked in the top 15 of the NE10 in goals, points and assists per game. Vail led the Owls with a total of 65 points and 46 goals. She had five points, scored three goals, two assists, picked up two ground balls and caused a turnover in the Owls' first ever NCAA Tournament game against Mercy. Off the field, she earned NE10 Academic Excellence for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.

Anna Meserve had another fantastic season for the Owls. She was named to the All-NE10 Second Team. Meserve led the Owls in draw controls with 65 and totaled a career-best of 45 points, scored 34 goals, and picked up 26 ground balls. She scored a career-best of five goals, totaled five points, picked up two ground balls and won two draw controls in a 18-10 victory over Bentley. Meserve won a career-best of 10 draw controls, scored two goals and had an assist against Mercy. Off the field, she earned NE10 Academic Excellence honors for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.

Abigail Nolan had an impressive season as she was named to the All-NE10 Second Team. Off the field, she earned NE10 Academic Excellence for both the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. On the field, Nolan played and started in all 18 games for the Owls. She ranked consistently in the top 20 of the NE10 in goals per game. She totaled the fourth-most points (8) in a single game in the NE10, with a career-best of five goals and three assists in a 16-10 victory over Saint Michael's. Nolan scored a career-best of five goals, dished an assist, totaled six points and won a draw control in the first program victory over Saint Anselm.

Allie Welder had a spectacular season for the Owls and was named to the All-NE10 Third Team. Off the field, she earned NE10 Academic Distinction for both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. On the field, she played and started in all 18 games and led the team in caused turnovers, with 19. She scored a season-best of two goals, six times, against Felician, Southern New Hampshire, Dominican (CA), Caldwell, Assumption and Saint Anselm. She won six draws, caused three turnovers and picked up two ground balls in a 17-6 victory over Converse.

Breya Montague had an incredible season and was named to the All-NE10 Third Team. Montague played in all 18 games and totaled a team-best of 19 caused turnovers, won 19 draw controls, picked up 23 ground balls and scored eight goals. She caused a career-best of four turnovers, picked up three ground balls and won two draws against Mercy. Montague scored the first goal of her career, dished an assist, won three draws, had two points and caused a turnover in the 21-3 victory over Felician. Off the field, she earned NE10 Academic Distinction honors for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.
