MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut softball pitchers Ashley Lewis and Giselle DeLutri have been named to the Northeast-10 Faces in the Crowd as announced by the conference on Wednesday, Mar. 5. The duo led the Owls two their first two wins of the season while only allowing five runners on base. 

Lewis threw a no-hitter and had a career-high 10 strikeouts in the Owls first game to beat Bloomfield, 9-0. She was perfect through 6 and 2/3 innings, retiring the first 20 batters she faced before walking a batter in the bottom of the seventh. Her no-hitter is the first one since Jayme Larson threw a no-hitter against Bentley on April 17, 2011. 

In her collegiate debut, DeLutri scattered three hits and had 15 strikeouts to beat Bloomfield in game two, 6-0.

The Owls will travel to Waterbury, Conn. to face Post in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday, Mar. 6.
