NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Jasmine Bien-Aime (Cambridge, Mass.) of the women’s outdoor track and field team and sophomore Michael Lee (New London, Conn.) of the men’s outdoor track and field team have been named as the Southern Connecticut State University Athletes of the Week.

Bien-Aime led the way for the Owls during a fourth-place team finish at the Northeast-10 Championships this past weekend. She placed second in the 100 meters (12.05 seconds) and third in the 200 meters (24.58 seconds, NCAA provisional mark). Bien-Aime was also a art of the 4x100 and 4x400 relays that both finished fourth.

Lee played a key role in the Owls’ 11th consecutive Northeast-10 outdoor championship title. He won the triple jump with a leap of 14.93 meters and set a new league record in the process. That figure was the 17th best mark in Division II this year. Lee also placed third in the long jump (7.10 meters) at the NE-10’s.
