In a 26-20 overtime loss to Assumption, Kwadir Delgado-McIntyre (Hamden, Conn.) had a pair of interceptions as the Owls held the nation’s second-highest scoring offense to half of their per-game average and took them to overtime on their home field. Delgado-McIntyre also had a pair of picks against Assumptions’ Cody Williams, who had thrown just one interception in his previous five games. Delgado-McIntrye’s second pick set-up the Owls deep in Assumption territory and led to Matt Sanzaro touchdown pass to John Wells that tied the game at 1-1. Delgado-McIntyre is the first player at SCSU to intercept two passes in a game since Justin Potts recorded three against American International on Sept. 23, 2016.
