SHE SHOOTS...SHE SCORES
The Owls erupted for a season-high 23 goals in their win over Franklin Pierce on April 5. In fact, SCSU is averaging 21.5 goals per game in its victories this season.

EXACTING A LITTLE REVENGE
The April 5 win over Franklin Pierce allowed the Owls to even the season series with the Ravens. However, the victory came in a Northeast-10 Conference game - whereas the 15-10 Ravens win in March was in a non-league tilt.

A NEW LEADER AT THE TOP
Senior Allison Kownacki moved past Cathy Cardini on March 25 atop the school's all-time goal list. Kownacki has netted 104 goals to date as an Owl. Including the two seasons she spent at Merrimack, Kownacki has scored 199 goals as a collegiate student-athlete.

MARTHA STANDS ALONE
Junior Grace Martha became the program's all-time groundball leader in the game with Franklin Pierce on March 18. She moved past Cathy Cardini, who had 72 career groundballs. Martha now has 119 career groundballs and leads the club with 62 this year.

SCORING WITH REGULARITY
The 20-goal output against AIC marked the first time that the Owls had scored at least 18 goals in a game since netting 18 in a win over Assumption on April 24, 2007.

MONFREDO MAINTAINS CONSISTENCY
Sophomore Teresa Monfredo, who was second on the club in scoring a year ago, has remained a top threat for the Owls up front this year. To date, she ranks second on the club in both goals and points (27 goals, two assists).

PICKING UP WHERE SHE LEFT OFF
Senior Allison Kownacki, who scored 61 goals a year ago, has already scored 43 times in the first 13 games of the 2008 campaign. Kownacki netted at least five markers in five separate contests this year, including a season-high six goals against Bryant.

ROOKIES FINDING THE SCORESHEET
Freshmen Nicole Calcaterra, Rachel Carlucci, Amanda Dilger and Jessica Kraszewski, along with sophomore Lisa Desanti, have already registered their first career goals as Owls.

YOUTH TO BE SERVED
Sixteen of the 18 players on the Owls' roster this year are either freshmen or sophomores.
