Iacomini provided more insurance for herself with a two-run homer in the fourth inning. Junior Caporossi tagged her second home run of the year in the fifth, propelling the Owls to an 8-1 victory at Janet L. Ficke Field.

In game two, it took Southern until the top of the second inning to reach the scoreboard. Despite just four hits in the game, the Owls capitalized when runners reached the base path. Robin Priest (Cheshire, Conn.) was hit by a pitch in the second that forced in the first run of the game. Khristle Lee (Aztec, N.M.) pushed the second run across the plate when she reached on a fielders choice, giving the Owls a 2-0 lead.

The Panthers battled back in the fourth and fifth and tacked on five runs of their own. Adelphi led off the fifth with back-to-back home runs extending its lead to 5-2 entering the sixth inning.

However, sophomore Julianne Flood (Poughquag, N.Y.) led off the sixth with a walk, followed by a walk by Priest, giving the Owls first and second. Savarese laced a single past the infield which scored Flood from second. Brittany Gandley (Holbrook, N.Y.) reached on an error, scored Priest and set the stage for Wolf. Wolf crushed a grandslam over the wall retaking the lead 8-5 heading into the last inning. Brittany Hill (Durham, Conn.) closed out the seventh collecting her third win of the season.
