Women’s Lacrosse Loses To St. Anselm On Senior Night

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore Sarah Muise (Killingworth, Conn.) scored four goals, but the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team dropped its 2013 season finale to St. Anselm on Friday night, 18-6.



Prior to the game, the Owls honored seniors Jessica Shaw (Beverly, Mass.), Katie Water (Woodbridge, Conn.) and Felicia Zalik (Oxford, Conn.).

The Owls concluded the year with a 3-13 overall mark and were 1-11 in Northeast-10 play. The Hawks improved to 10-6, 7-5 in league action.

St. Anselm scored the first four goals of the game before Muise connected for two in 27 seconds to cut the gap to 4-2. However, the visitors scored the next seven goals before Walter ended the spurt. St. Anselm led 15-3 at halftime.



Muise added two more goals in the second half, while Emily Orser (Hamden, Conn.) also found the back of the net.
