GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Junior Sarah Muise (Killingworth, Conn.) scored a goal, but the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team dropped a 23-1 decision to No. 2 nationally ranked Adelphi on Wednesday evening.

The Owls are now 0-5, 0-4 in Northeast-10 Conference play. Adelphi improved to 5-0, 1-0.

The Panthers received 10 points from Devan Crimi (six goals, four assists) in the contest. Adelphi scored the first eight goals of the game before Muise scored with 19:35 left in the first half.

Adelphi built its lead to 17-1 at the half and added six more second half goals to make it a 23-1 final.

SCSU is back in action on Saturday for a game at Bridgeport.
