NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Jenny Bush scored with three seconds left in the first overtime to give visiting Assumption a 12-11 win over the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team this evening.

Samantha Cozzolino (Hamden, Conn.) and
Carolynn Keal (Southington, Conn.) led the Owls with four points apiece (one goal, three assists).
Nicole Healey (Milford, Conn.) and
Taylor Portelinha (Woodbridge, Conn.) each netted hat tricks for the Owl, while
Kennedy Sherman (Buchanan, N.Y.) contributed two goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The teams split the first four goals of the game before Assumption netted two straight for a 4-2 lead. After a goal from Sherman, the Greyhounds scored two straight to build a 6-3 cushion. Portelinha then scored with 10 seconds left in the first half to cut the gap to 6-4 at the half.
Assumption extended its lead to 8-4 early in the second half before the Owls stormed back with four in a row to tie the game. Healey had two markers during the run, while Portelinha and Cozzolino also scored.
The Greyhounds followed with two straight for a 10-8 advantage. Portelinha then capped her hat trick before
Hailey Prindle-Nelson (Sharon, Conn.) evened the contest at 10-10. After an Assumption goal, Sherman netted the tying goal with 3:38 left in regulation.
