Southern Connecticut women's lacrosse will travel to Albany, N.Y. to take on College of Saint Rose in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup on Saturday, Apr. 22 at 12 p.m. at Plumeri Sports Complex in Albany, N.Y. The Owls enter the game with an overall record of 8-6 including a 3-6 mark in NE10 play while Saint Rose is 7-7 overall and 3-6 in the conference.

The Owls and Golden Knights are currently tied for ninth place in the conference standings at 3-6 and trail Assumption (4-5) for the eighth and final spot in the upcoming NE10 tournament. All three teams have three games remaining.

  • Southern is coming off an 18-5 non-conference win at Hartford on Tuesday, Apr. 18. The Owls spread it around as 12 different players scored a point, with 10 scoring a goal. Bayleigh Takacs scored three times while adding two assists for a team-leading five points. Alexanda Ruel had two goals and an assist while Morgan Reilly and Kirsten McIntire each had three goals. Allie Palmer scored twice while Molly Kelly had two assists.
  • Bayleigh Takacs has scored a goal in seven-straight games while also recording her sixth hat trick of the season and sixth game with five-or-more points.
  • Takac's 28 goals and 25 assists give her a career-best 53 points for the year, with three games to play.
  • For her career, she has totaled 93 goals and 64 assists for 157 points, which ranks fifth all-time, behind teammate Karlie Rowe's 160 career points.
  • Rowe leads the Owls with 33 goals while adding 13 assists for 46 points. Her 160 career points rank fourth all-time, and trail Carolynn Keal's 161 points for third all-time. Her 126 goals rank third in program history. Her 34 assists rank sixth in program history.
  • Kirsten McIntire has scored 27 goals and added three assists to give the Owls a trio of 30-point scorers for the year.
  • Brianna Shaw has scored 19 goals and added six assists for 26 points while leading the team with 71 draw controls and 28 caused turnovers .Her 26 ground balls rank second to Hannah Holmes' team-leading 28 ground balls for the year.
  • Shaw also leads the team with six free-position goals.
  • Morgan Reilly has scored 18 goals and added 10 assists for 28 points.
  • Alexandra Ruel has found the back of the net 19 times in 11 games while adding five assists for 24 points.
