Maya Fisher Named to NE10 Faces in the Crowd

Southern Connecticut women's cross country standout Maya Fisher was named to the Northeast 10 Conference's Faces in the Crowd following the 2025 NE10 Cross Country Championships.

At the 2025 NE10 Cross Country Championships, Fisher finished 22nd with a time of 25:48.8, helping the Owls to their second-ever NE10 Cross Country title. Notably, Fisher was replacing fellow freshman Rae Geddes as Southern's fifth runner after Geddes was unable to compete due to injury (scoring is based off of each team's top five finishers). Sliding into a new and extremely important role, Fisher was able to hold off a pack of runners from Bentley and Saint Anselm, the teams that followed Southern in second and third place, ultimately securing the Owls' championship victory.

Fisher and the rest of SCSU XC will head back to New Hampshire for the NCAA East Regional Championships on Saturday, November 8th.
