NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Adriana Carrasco (Hamden, Conn.) of the women’s indoor track and field team and sophomore Ruvens Exantus (Stratford, Conn.) of the men’s indoor track and field team have been named as the Southern Connecticut State University Athletes of the Week.

Carrasco claimed first place in the 500 meters with a personal-best time of 1:15.54 at the Yale Season Opener on Saturday. She also ran a leg of the 4x400 relay that claimed second place in that event.

Exantus finished first in the triple jump at the Yale Season Opener on Saturday. He posted a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 14.56 meters, which was also a personal-best.
