Archie Tracy, ’64, scored 1200 points and averaged 23 points per game, in only two seasons as a sophomore and junior member of the varsity basketball team. He scored 400 points as a freshman, during which time he was also class president. Tracy earned All-New England collegiate honors in his junior year, averaging 24.5 points per game. He went on to become varsity basketball and baseball coach, and eventually athletic director, during a 17-year career at Oliver Wolcott Technical High School. He was inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.
