John Crosby, ’74, a member of the 1972 Olympic gymnastics team, was the most honored athlete in history at Southern and in the NCAA. He won 13 individual NCAA titles and led the Owls to their first-ever NCAA championship in 1973. Among his honors, he received the Nissen Award and captured the USGF all-around title in 1974. He was honored by the NCAA as a post-graduate scholar and winner of the Top 10 Award.
