Jeff Stoutland ‘84/MS ’86 was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for the Owls’ football squad. Stoutland served as a team captain as a senior and collected Little All-America and All-New England laurels.
 
Stoutland played an integral role on squads that posted four straight winning seasons (first stretch in program history since 1959-62) and a 28-11-2 record during his collegiate career, including the 1982 squad that was ranked No. 9 in the nation. He also suited up for the baseball squad for one year and batted .314 for the Owls.
 
After graduation, Stoutland embarked on a highly successful coaching career. He served two different stints as an assistant coach at SCSU and has also coached collegiately at the University of Alabama, the University of Miami, Michigan State University, Cornell University and Syracuse University. Stoutland helped Alabama win two BCS National Championships and joined the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff in 2013.
 
In February, 2018, Stoutland helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. As the Eagles’ offensive line coach, he has coached 11 All-Pro players in his first five seasons with the organization
