Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

Carolyn Court, ’76, was an outstanding cross country and track and field performer. She ran with Southern’s men’s cross country team and was co-captain of the Owls’ women’s track team in 1976. She earned All-America honors in the 800-meter run. Court went on to teach and coach at Bates College. She was honored as the New England Division III Cross Country Coach of the Year in 1996. She received the Lewiston-Auburn Sports Hall of Fame President’s Award the same year.
